Edublog awards 2011

01 Dec

Blogging has been a major part of my life this last 12 months. I have developed and now run a busy class blog as well as this personal one. I don’t always have time to dedicate time to this blog but the school one is a hive of regular activity.

Several other blogs have really inspired me and got me thinking about how I could change/tweak/improve mine.

Best Class Blog is a great example of a class blog. Their teacher, Mr Thurlow ensures that as many children as possible are acitvely engaged and are part of the writing process. Their blog is full of games, work, ideas and comments on what the children have been doing. You can tell, after just a few clicks that this is a class blog that is totally child-focused and runs for them and through them. I have ‘magpied’ more than a few ideas from here. Keep up the good work. 🙂

Best Individual Tweeter  Deputymitchell gets my vote as top tweeter. He is incredibly helpful and tweets back promptly. His work with the Quadblogging cycle is fantastic and has really enthused me and the children.

Best Individual Blog John Mclear, one of the main brains behind Primary Blogger runs a very clever and, to be honest, geeky blog. Full of fantastic links and great ideas. He is extremely helpful with our class blog and often links things back to his own site, which, very often has the answers. Keep up the geeking 😉
